RAIZ is a private, non-profit organization, with partners such as the Portucel Soporcel group, the Universities of Coimbra, Aveiro and Lisbon, and aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the forestry and paper sectors through research, technological support and specialized training. RAIZ - whose scope of activity covers the tree / paper row - emerges as a response of the sector to the need to identify at each time point segments that are primarily eligible for applied research activity, in order to optimize, from a cost / benefit perspective, the competitive advantages of national forest-industrial row guaranteeing its sustainability.
