The Municipality of Santarém is the District Capital of the Ribatejo region, located on the right bank of the Tagus River with an area of 552.54 km², distributed by eighteen parishes and a population of 61 222 inhabitants. Santarém has a privileged situation in the territory, constituting itself as the interface between the North, Center Litoral / Oeste, Alentejo and Algarve, for the accessibility that serve the Territory.
