RoboCer3D - Fast manufacture of porcelain products by R3D
Partners:01-01-2016 a 30-06-2018
Program funding:Portugal 2020 – SI I&D em copromoção
Description of the project:The RoboCer3D project aims to develop an additive manufacturing technology for porcelain products, namely "Robocasting 3D" (R3D) technology. The formal freedom given in the manufacture of products by additive manufacturing technologies, such as R3D, makes it possible to manufacture parts with geometries and functionalities that are not possible to obtain by conventional technologies. The reproducibility and computerized control of the architectural features of products will enable the ceramic industry to be enhanced in the manufacture of products with high added value that meets the needs of specific national and international market segments.
Objectives:The RoboCer3D project aims to develop an additive manufacturing technology for porcelain products, “Robocasting 3D” (R3D).
Main Activities:1. Study on porcelain pastes formulations for R3D; 2. Development of the R3D Process for Porcelain; 3. Optimization of the post-conformation stages of R3D products; 4. Tests of production of new design; 5. Project management.
