Description of the project:

In this project, we intend to develop a prototype that includes technological solutions applicable to the next generation of Transformation Stations (PT). The activities and tasks proposed under this project include the specification, development, construction, testing and integration of solutions designed in the various technical aspects of a PT. This project, which starts in December 2016, will last 36 months and involves two business entities and three entities of the National Scientific and Technological System (SCTN). The partners Efacec (leader of the consortium promoter), Eneida, Institute of Systems and Robotics of the University of Coimbra, INESC TEC and ITeCons add the experience and the expectation of the industry, and the knowledge and scientific capacity that the entities of the SCTN contribute to the project, aiming at the creation and application of new scientific knowledge, with demonstration in the Low Voltage distribution network - BT - of EDP Distribuição, partner.

Objectives:

Develop a modular enclosure with high thermal, acoustic, physical and mechanical performance; Develop solutions for network resilience; Designing a PT controller; Design an MV / LV transformer, according to the Ecodesign; Create lower-volume MT cells adapted to new DP sensors and defect detectors; Develop a flexible application device - in PT and in the BT network; Develop an energy storage system, according to the Ecodesign.

Main Activities:

Preliminary Studies and Scientific and Technological Surveillance; Future PT Performance: Use Cases, Requirements, Architecture and Specifications; Solution Development; Construction of Prototypes, Experimental Installation and Installation in the Pilot Network; Testing and Testing; Promotion and Disclosure.
