Development of an energy facade to be used in a residential and service buildings characterized by its modularity, versatility, multifunctionality and adaptability that presents an innovative approach to the use of passive solar systems concentrating on a single integrated construction surface. It captures the solar energy for different purposes such as air conditioning and ventilation of the building, heating sanitary waters and possibility of electricity production. Consolidation of specific skills in the design, testing, manufacture and certification of a product to be used in building construction integrated with the ventilation, air conditioning and water heating systems.
Objectives:Identify the main technological developments of integration in the project; Define methodologies for assessing the behavior of the facade, both from an ethnographic and economic point of view; To develop simulation models that allow the quantification of the energy utilization ensured by the energy facade in face of the local climatic conditions and the needs of the building; Design and build the facade and performance tests to prove its functionality; Develop an intelligent management algorithm that, given the usage history, the instantaneous energy needs and the available resources, maximizes the energy utilization of the same; Develop a manufacturing and assembly process that enables the modularity and multifunctionality of the facade and the realization of economies scales that make its manufacture economically viable.
Main Activities:The activities planned with this project aim to validate the potential offered by this type of technology, which has rarely been explored in an integrated way in its multiple aspects and include: Definition of preliminary specifications; Carrying out pre-viability studies; Manufacture and testing of pre-prototypes; Construction and operation of a full scale experimental unit; Promotion and dissemination of results; Technical project management.
