Description of the project:

The NanoPlus Window project presents a response to the challenges of energy consumption in buildings, through the development of a new smart window, which integrates an innovative system of ventilation and air purification, thus allowing to act at the level of the three aspects for a sustainable construction: thermal comfort; indoor air quality and energy efficiency. The end result is thus the achievement of an energy efficient system, for the urban rehabilitation sector and also for the construction of new buildings.

Objectives:

- Creation of a new fenestration system with ventilation and air filtration, aiming to reduce energy consumption and simultaneously improve thermal comfort and indoor air quality; - Develop a control system, which will be integrated into the window to act in terms of ventilation, filtration and air purification; - Construction of prototypes and respective technical validation, with emphasis on the integral system of the window with the incorporation of blinds and ventilation system and filtering system.
