Description of the project:

The AVIGAE project aims to develop a system capable of simulating different usage scenarios and, based on the results obtained, triggering the appropriate control actions. The system will be intelligent and innovative, including a disruptive element for the energy efficiency solutions market, this being the Intelligent and Adaptive Virtual Assistant, serving as an interface between the user and the entire structure of the energy consumption management and control system.

Objectives:

Develop a dynamic energy consumption management system based on advanced simulation techniques and assisted by an advanced decision support system that allows adequate control of building resources and achieves energy optimization. This system will be complemented by an intelligent virtual assistant, which will support building managers in the decision-making process, including alerts for less efficient behaviors. It should also incorporate learning strategies (adaptive or reinforcement) to adapt decisions to the context.

Main Activities:

The activities planned for the development of the AVIGAE project include: Monitoring and dynamic management platform - Corresponds to the entire monitoring and control infrastructure through the use of smart metering techniques and integration with any existing management systems in the buildings; Forecast and Simulation - The forecast of consumption, production and environmental conditions will play a fundamental role in determining the building control actions and respective energy management; Resource Optimization – Use simulation data to determine operating conditions and identify a set of actions that lead to optimal energy performance of buildings; Intelligent and Adaptive Virtual Assistant - will serve as an interface between the user and the entire management and control structure of the energy consumption system.
