UrbanWINS is a European project funded by the Research and Innovation Program Horizon 2020 that will study how cities consume resources and products, and how they eliminate the waste produced, in order to develop and test innovative plans and solutions aimed at improving waste prevention and management.
Main Activities:Survey on Best Practices (share and dissemination of experiences, tehnologies or detailed data on innovative waste management strategies); Kick-off conference (The kick-off conference took place in Cremona (Italy) in September 2016. The purpose of this event was to share the approach of UrbanWINS and to clearly explain the different activities that will be developed within the project); City Match (development of a series of activities to facilitate knowledge and experience sharing between public authorities from different parts of the project’s regions as well as to carry out mutual benchmarking exercises and evaluation)
