Description of the project:

The CircularBIM project aims to create an Open Educational Collaborative Platform (OECP), in which it is possible to find information on aspects of the construction of buildings such as: ecological details of the construction, techniques for use and reuse of construction materials or reduction of waste associated with materials used. Associated with this platform, it is intended to create a free software where it will be possible to “test”, in the design phase, different construction techniques that facilitate the reuse of materials used in buildings.

Objectives:

To contribute to the transition to the Circular Economy model in the construction sector, the main objectives of this project are: To increase awareness and information about the Circular Economy and its application in the construction sector; - Teach how to reduce the generation of waste from construction materials, reincorporating them into the value chain; - Inform about the possibility of reassessing each constructive element; - Free access to free software for consulting and using techniques and methods for reusing construction materials, also available in BIM format; - Involve students and professionals in new technologies, such as BIM applications, and in the transition to the Circular Economy.
