Investigation and development
The RTD - Research and Technological Development Department promotes and implements research and development projects in the treatment and recovery of waste. In dependence of this Department the following laboratory spaces operate: Biological Treatments, Hydrometallurgical Treatments, Incorporation in Ceramics and Incorporation in Cementic Materials. Areas: Incorporation of waste as materials in construction; Recovery of metals and metal salts from waste; Processes of biological waste treatment; Waste energy recovery processes; Recovery of materials from animal by-products; Production of biofuels.
